The Courage to Hope through Dark Times

The Courage to Hope through Dark Times. Our faith provides us with courage and urgency to hope during dark times, not through illusion but through recognition of the tragic reality of life. Dr. King, along with many of our heroes and prophets believed better times would come exactly in the darkest hours.

Hilda M. Jordan is the speaker for our service commemorating the MLK Day holiday. She is a key figure in the leadership and strategic development of the Utica-Oneida County Branch of the NAACP, particularly in economic and community revitalization. In October Hilda was appointed Interim Executive Director of the Mid-Utica Neighborhood Preservation Corporation (MUNPC).
