Our Labor Day service features Eric Cortés-Kopp, who is a membership servicing representative at UFCW Local 1. As a student, he was one of the key organizers of the Hamilton College Admissions campaign.

According to Eric, by August 2021 Hamilton College tour guides were about to go on strike. Workers were going unpaid, getting sick from giving tours in the rain, and requesting a raise. They turned their collective action to forming a union. with United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1. Eric will talk about unions and the path to unionization at Hamilton College.
