From Housing Readiness to Housing First: You can’t teach a drowning person to swim.

Gwendolyn Dordick, PhD taught at Hamilton College and Harvard University before becoming a Doctoral lecturer at the City College of New York, (CUNY) where she offers courses in urban sociology and urban homelessness and social policy in the U.S.  She worked with the City of Utica, NY while at Hamilton College to develop policies to alleviate homelessness. Her book, Something Left to Lose: Personal Relations and Survival among New York’s Homelessis available free online.
