Carol and her friend, Valerie, spent a week last spring traveling the U.S. Civil Rights Trail which was officially launched by the National Park System in 2018.  They started in Atlanta, the birthplace of Martin Luther King, Jr. and ended in Memphis, the place of his assassination.  Carol reflects on some of what they saw and learned along the way.
