hands comforting

Caring for one another is a core spiritual practice for Unitarian Universalists. Pastoral care is the term we use for the ways we offer support and compassion to each other in community. We promote offering pastoral care to all ages knowing that it can be as simple as making a phone call, text or email to check in with one another or as challenging as helping someone who is in crisis, isolated or in need of assistance.

Most often we learn of a pastoral need during our weekly “Candles of Community”, a time during our worship service where both joys and concerns are expressed.

Our Caring Crew are volunteer members who offer their time to reach out to those in need or offer congratulations on the part of our whole faith community.

For more serious needs, our part time Ordained Minister is on call for emergency pastoral calls at revkbu3@gmail.com or 315-939-0109.
